Catch Up on Weeks 5-8

Note: This site is so difficult with picures so it’s only possible to put one in without messing up all the text and things.

So it’s been awhile so I figured it would be a good idea to play a little catch up on what’s been happening on the Titan’s sidelines.

Currently going into the bye week the Tennessee Titans are 5-3! Week five, six, and seven were just repeat efforts of the titans kickin’ some a$$ around the league, and week eight, not so much. Week five in Big D, the Titans came out hot and won 34-27, the following week the Titans traveled to Jacksonville to take on their rivals on Monday Night Football.

As a rival, I hate the guts out of the Jags. They don’t sell out their stadium, there team always sucks but are good (I know, it makes no sense to me either) and they have the worst colors in sports. There wasn’t much to say about the game, however the Titans won 30-3.

Week seven was good and not good when the Titans squared off with the Philadelphia Eagles. Unfortunately Vince Young got hurt in the game against the Jags and the Titans had to start the old man, Kerry Collins. Collins is TERRIBLE! He had three turnovers in the first half and the game was not going good at all. Then second year receiver Kenny Britt came off the bench and so many things went right. Kenny Britt ended up catching seven balls for 225 yards and 3 touchdowns! That is nuts for a receiver! I swear Vince was ready to go but coach Jeff Fisher in my opinion is a racist bastard, and like old white man Collins. Whatever though, the titans scored a franchise high 27 points in the fourth quarter and won the game, ending week seven with a 5-2 record, not bad eh?

Week eight was similar to week seven, lots of good and lots of bad. Vince was back on the field and the Titans hoped to improve to 6-2 going into the bye week. Things started off great, the Titans blocked the first punt for the San Diego Chargers and got a safety to take a 2-0 lead. However, the next drive Vince chucked a ball deep and Kenny Britt went up for it and heard a pop. Shit! He pulled his hamstright and was going to be out 6-8 weeks. That is terrible news after seeing what he was capable of last week, and having 7 touchdowns in six weeks.

Things didn’t go much smoother after that, the Titans gave up the lead and in the fourth quarter the Titans were down eight. Of course more would go wrong, Vince Young dropped back to pass and ended up taking a few minutes to get up. He hurt his knee so that meant Collins had to come in. What a great thing! Collins gets to come in to try to tie the game up on the last drive, but that never happened and the Titans lost to the Chargers 33-25.

Now going into the bye week the Titans are 5-3 and looking for a week off to get healthy and to prepare themselves for a road battle with the Miami Dolphins. Screw Fish and Collins, get Vince healthy and let’s get to the playoffs! Go Titans!
